My Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion

I have worked with people across many diverse cultures, races, religions, sexual orientations, gender identities, and life experiences. As an ally, I am here to listen and support you in a way that feels affirming without expecting you to make your identity or lived experience more “acceptable” to the majority or status quo.

I believe healing happens in connection with ourselves, with others, and with an awareness of the larger systems that shape our lives. We are not just individuals struggling in isolation. We are part of communities, cultures, and histories that influence our pain and our healing.

The weight of oppression, generational trauma, and systemic barriers is real. While therapy by itself can’t dismantle these structures, it can help us process the harm they cause and reconnect with an internal sense of freedom. Healing is a radical act of rebellion against the systems that were never designed for you to thrive. I believe we can resist oppression not just by surviving it, but by helping the parts of you that have lost so much reclaim their voice, their worth, and their freedom.

Safety is complex. For those navigating oppressive systems, absolute safety isn’t always possible. But, we can create a space - in therapy and within you - that feels safe enough for healing to happen. Therapy helps you find steadiness inside yourself, so you can move through the world with more freedom and choice, even when the world isn’t so kind to you.

Therapy should be a space where you don’t have to shrink yourself to fit in. I recognize that traditional mental health spaces haven’t always been welcoming to everyone, and I want you to know that with me, you don’t have to leave any part of yourself at the door.
